Why Take Part?

The Festival of the Erotic Arts (FEA), is the UK’s first multi-disciplinary showcase dedicated to the work of Erotic Artists. Our open call for art will begin on the 14th of January 2013 and we will accept artist submissions through to the 22nd of March 2013. The event will be held from the 10th to 16th June 2013 and will comprise of performance art revues, craft fayre, film presentation, gallery based visual art exhibition and erotic ball. In addition to this we are planning artist workshop and networking sessions. Visual, performance, multi-media and literary artists aged over 18, living in the UK or Europe* are encouraged to enter.

Submission Rules

Visual Art: Up to three pieces may be submitted of any medium. Sculptors, photographers, illustrators and painters are particularly encouraged to apply. Work should not exceed 127cm (50inches) in any direction, or 30kg in weight. Acceptance will grant representation at our gallery based visual art exhibition which presents an opportunity to sell work to a visiting audience and promotion of the artist’s work by the Festival’s publicity and marketing team.

Performance Art: Performers aged 18 years or over may submit their work for consideration for ambient or stage performance. A thorough outline of the artistic intention of the work will be required and video submission of work preferable, though photographs may be subitted. Acceptance will result in a performance opportunity which will attract a (negotiable) fee.

Film: Up to two short films (not exceeding 45 minutes) may be submitted. Acceptance will result in the work being included in our short film presentation

Literary Art: Up to three literary pieces may be submitted — poems & short stories (up to 3,000 words) and one-act plays. Acceptance will result in the exhibition of work either in a performance, written or recorded medium at one of out arts events and according to artist preference.

Crafts: Artists may submit items such as books, jewellery, screen prints, collectibles, etc. for consideration to our craft and lifestyle fair. Acceptance will result in the offer of a stall at the event craft fair – which will attract a stall holder fee payable by the stallholder to the festival. There is no fee for submitting crafts for consideration.
